Intro to Rock
Never climbed outdoors before? No problem. Come spend a day with us and learn what it’s all about!
Spend the morning learning the basics and then spend the afternoon climbing. North Conway’s Cathedral and Whitehorse Ledges are the perfect crags, conveniently offering an outdoor classroom setting and easily accessible, excellent, beginner terrain.
The day will start with some instruction of the basics on flat ground: tying in to the climbing rope, maintaining personal safety, securing the rope for your partner, removing rock protection, and the fundamentals of movement. The rest of the day will be spent climbing and practicing those skills on a variety climbs that are chosen to challenge you and your group appropriately.
