Cathedral Mountain Guides Office

Directions to our office in North Conway Village

We are located next to Schouler Park in North Conway, right next to the train station. Turn into Norcross Circle; the U-shaped road that encloses the park and offers access to the train station. We’re all the way in the back, north of the train station, in the same building as Ben and Jerry’s and the Old Village Barber Shop. We’re upstairs from the Barber Shop, enter between the Barber shop and Jeweler, same as Kennedy Insurance, you’ll see our sign.

Cathedral Ledge

Direction to the Cathedral Ledge State Park parking area.

The park is located off the West Side Road in North Conway, about three minute’s drive from North Conway Village. At the stop light at the north end of the Village, take a left onto River Rd. Follow this until you see a brown sign on the left for Cathedral Ledge State Park. For summer programs, meet at the kiosk directly below the cliff by the viewing area with picnic tables.

Frankenstein

Directions to the Frankenstein parking area in Crawford Notch State Park, NH.

The parking area for Frankenstein is about 300yds north of the southern limit of Crawford Notch State Park, clearly signed when coming from the south. The parking area is also clearly marked and shares a trail head with the popular Arethusa Falls hiking trail. The parking area has two levels, a lower and an upper. Typically the lower lot is overflow. Most days a spot is available in the smaller upper lot or along the side of the road, headed downhill. Groups should plan on meeting in the larger, lower lot.

Mount Washington

Directions to the AMC Pinkham Notch Visitor Center in Pinkham Notch, NH.

For all ascents on the east side of Mount Washington park here: this includes most Mt. Washington hikes (unless otherwise noted), Tuckerman Ravine, Huntington Ravine and the Gulf of Slides. On a busy weekend this lot can get crowded, but with patience a spot can almost always be found. If meeting your guide here, enter the visitor center by the covered lower entrance facing the lot. This is the pack room, downstairs from the main visitor center.

Cannon

Directions to the Cannon Parking Area in Franconia Notch State Park, NH.

For all routes on Cannon Cliff, summer and winter, meet at the climber’s parking area accessible only from southbound I-93. When coming from south of the Notch, pass Echo Lake and take Exit 34B for the Cannon Mountain Tram and reverse direction through the underpass. The climbers parking area will be your first exit once back in I-93 headed south.
