Are you feeling like it’s time for your first ‘trad’ lead, or already leading and just looking for some pro tips to improve your efficacy? This two day intensive course is designed for you. We’ll cover lead belaying, basic knots, gear overview, gear and anchor placement, mechanics of the rope system including fall factors, lead climbing technique, belaying from above, descending (including rappelling), and etiquette. We’ll also do plenty of climbing! Limited to 6 participants, with a maximum 3:1 climber-instructor ratio.

Your $420 investment includes gear outfitting, two full climbing days and Saturday evening group dinner.

Prerequisites: Proficient at 5.8 climbing, proficient at ‘following’ trad and multi-pitch climbs, and indoor or sport leading experience preferred.
