Tristan was introduced to climbing through an outdoor college program and got hooked after taking a cross country road trip his freshman year. Since then he has poked around in search of classic climbs all around the country and beyond. From multi-day wall climbs to forest floor bouldering Tristan is always psyched to be outside.
Tristan instructed climbing to college groups in 2007 and began guiding in the Mount Washington Valley in 2015. He prefers rock climbing and is an AMGA certified Rock Guide but also revels in the intensity of winter climbing and the pure joy of skiing.
When he is not guiding, Tristan works as a professional arborist in Maine. Other interests include traveling with his wife Sarah and son Bridger, and becoming a better cook for the family.
