Glacier Travel and Crevasse Rescue

Elevate your game for mountain adventures by learning the most up-to-date practices and techniques for roped travel on a glacier, and partner crevasse rescue. This 2 day technical course will stream line rescue techniques for those who need a refresher, will provide a good foundation for experienced climbers wanting to take their first steps into glaciated terrain and will serve as a good primer for those headed up to Alaska for the spring 2017 season.

What we’ll cover:

The two days will be spent in a combination of classroom time and field work discussing best tie in practices, rope configuration, with an emphasis on understanding the construction of a snow anchor while holding your partner’s weight. We’ll also discuss building a hauling system and rope ascension.

Come spend a couple of days dialing in your game and open up new terrain for your future.
